Our Founder

Meet the founder

Scott Landis is an accomplished HR executive and the founder of Amerilia People Solutions, a people consulting firm built on decades of experience leading people strategy in high-growth, complex organizations. Originally from Australia and now based in the United States, Scott brings a global perspective and a grounded, business-first approach to every client engagement.

As Chief Human Resources Officer at Aptive Environmental, a private equity backed company with more than 3,500 employees, Scott played a key role in scaling operations, strengthening culture, and positioning HR as a driver of business performance. He is known for his candid leadership style, deep expertise in labor relations, and ability to cut through complexity to deliver practical, high-impact solutions.

Scott has led cross-border HR initiatives and collaborated with international teams across Asia, Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada, and South America. He brings a nuanced understanding of global business dynamics while staying focused on local execution. His academic foundation includes a master’s degree in Human Resources, and he served as an adjunct professor at Utah State University for three years, teaching graduate-level courses in employee and labor relations within both MBA and master’s programs.
